Ole Brown Shoe

Here’s the story…

It was our 6th anniversary. I was happy and busy and seeing clients and running errands and just go, go, going all the time it seemed. The pandemic hadn’t really hit yet. I was in a hurry and needed to find the right card and a gift, fast. As I’m rushing into a little gift store I paused a second and thought, “Please help me find the perfect card.”

Two steps later it was right in front of me.

The perfect card, just like I’d asked for seconds before. It had an old brown loafer shoe and a fancy, red high heel on it. My jaw dropped and my heart skipped a beat because in the past year or so, my husband was always joking about being the “ole brown shoe”… so of course I’d come back with, “I’m old red heel.”

And there it was, our little personal love story no one else knows, on that card, just like I’d asked for.

All I had to do was ask.

Just ask.

For help.

For a miracle.

For love.

A favor.

For whatever you want.

Just decide and ask.

Just pause and think about what you want and ask for it. Truth is, sometimes we know what we want or need, but many times we don’t. That’s a problem because if we don’t really know what we want we probably won’t get it. If we don’t know where we want to go we probably won’t get there.

So just ask. Just put it out there to whatever Universe or God or Higher Power you ascribe to. Life should be easy, or at least easier. When you need something, ask for it. Whenever you’re facing a big decision, just pause and ask the powers that be to intervene on your behalf and grant you your wish.

Sometimes I have my clients look up to the sky with their hands outstretched and say, “Come on! Show me a sign that you are my copilot and you have my back. I need some help here. Show up and show off for me”

The universe knows there has never been success without failure. Einstein said “Coincidence is God’s way of remaining anonymous.” When we are honest and open and ask, we get the right answers at the right time at the right place.

I may never know or understand why or how that perfect card with the old brown shoe and the red high heel just appeared out of nowhere the moment I asked for it.

All I know is it DID. And I THANK my conscious contact with my amazing Creator.

Thank you for reading and sharing and remember to always, always, always go where the love is.
