One of the challenges for my clients is “clarity”. They aren’t sure what kind of career they want, or where they would like to live, or even what kind of person they want to date? What a conundrum!
Well, I found an incredible broad stroke for this dilemma of uncertainty, and it works like a charm. It gets you back into the direction of where you want to go. Painting a new future of how you want to “feel”, creates both lucidity and simplicity. We all know that we want to feel happy, peaceful, and joyful. By knowing your end game of feeling good and then setting those intentions first before anything else is a powerful tool that prevents us from getting into the ambiguity of life’s direction. In other words, don’t get mired down in the details, but get enamored with heading towards what feels great in a healthy way.
A great tool in choosing purpose during the day is to write down a how do I want “To Be” list, along with a “To Do” list daily. In the morning when you’re writing down all the little details of your day that you need to get done, write down how you want to show up in every meeting, with every client, and with your children/spouse, and friends. Maybe you want to show up patient, loving, present, and with a smile.
By choosing to be in the higher state of being, we will always attract wonderful circumstances in our lives. Just fixate on your objective to be/feel good throughout the day and the details will take care of themselves.
When we are choosing to show up happy, kind, and compassionate; magic happens. I had a friend get hired in elevator, an acquaintance that found love in a coffee shop, and my client last week won two free round trip tickets to both Hawaii and Las Vegas. These people attracted positive outcomes because they chose to focus on feeling empowering emotions.
So, if you feeling puzzled, cornered, and confused about where you are headed, your only job is to write a list of how you want to be in every segment of your life, and then follow through with your objective. The other baffling details will wondrously take care of themselves. Give it a try and you will be presently surprised. Namaste.
How come there are only a few enlightened beings on the planet, and there are many who are not? How come these enlightened individuals get to live in a chronic state of equanimity, while most feel trapped and immersed in negative thinking. The reason being, is that they have practiced living in higher state of consciousness, and refuse to dip down into lower frequencies of fear, hate, or any other lower vibrating thoughts and feelings. They have mastered staying in an elevated state, and the good news is, you can too!
Yes, it is possible to become like The Dalai Lama, Buddha, or even Jesus. It may take more work on our part because of the software coming into planet earth did not include ISaGE or IAnGEL. Depending on our various downloads that we inherited from our parents and ancestors, we may have to work harder to maintain alignment then the average Joe, but it is attainable.
Here are some tips to mastering and maintaining alignment on a daily basis:
1. Watch your thoughts. When a negative thought appears, erase it and immediately replace it with a higher thought.
2. When you feel yourself getting agitated or irritable, pause, and do something different to feed your soul, so you don't act out in a negative way. Maybe take a walk around the block, get a bite to eat, call a friend, or do some breathing exercises. In other words, try to do something (anything) to lift your mood. Remember that negativity breeds negativity, and positivity breeds positivity.
3. Do any kind of service work where you are getting out of yourself and giving love. It could be volunteering at the Big Brother or Big Sister Foundation, feeding the homeless, or as simple as giving a hand to a neighbor in need. Getting out of our heads and seeing that everyone ( I don't care who you are) has challenges. Being of service to others helps us realize that we are not terminally unique, and that we all can help contribute to the well-being of the planet.
4. Constantly master a feeling of gratitude at all times. Wake up every morning and rehearse all that you are appreciative of, before you put that cup of coffee to your lips. In the evening, before you close your eyes at night, do the same thing! Gratitude is never overrated.
I'm going to tell you a secret for mastering my own alignment on a daily basis. My daily medicine is practicing all the steps listed above, as well as a daily nap around 2 or 3:00, otherwise I get grumpy. The sleep reboots my mind when I work late into the night. Another decadent evening ritual is a bubble bath every night (for the last 20 years). The last essential is lots of excersize everyday no matter what.
Get busy practicing and maintaining habits of those like the great sages and saints. As you master these techniques that prevent you from dipping down into negative emotion, your life will change and you will witness the wonder of the world, rather than react to the minutiae.
Ever experience personal hell here on earth? What about feeling that everything you touch turns to crap? Ever thought to yourself, “could this get any more disastrous”?
I have great news for you. Now that you know what you don’t want to experience, you can start focusing on what you do want. In other words, now that you know the problem, let’s get into the solution.
One of my favorite teachers, Esther Hicks, explains that hell on earth is confusion and that heaven on earth is clarity. She communicates that “sifting and sorting” through various choices, and getting clear about what we do want, while using vivid detail, is essential for manifesting. If what shows up is not what you want, be vague about describing your reality to others, and be descriptive about your clear and future intentions.
What if you are ambiguous about what you want in your life, but don’t like what is showing up. Instead of using detail of the wishful physical manifestations, let your feelings guide you. Talk, write, and visualize the actual emotions you want to intend in your daily life. Affirm that you are feeling them in the present moment.
Personally, one of my struggles, in the past, has been not being able to make decisions. I can attest that this is a personal hell. Being in the hallway with indecisiveness, having one foot on the boat and one on the dock, can reek havoc on the neurotransmitters in the brain, cortisol in the body, and a paralysis in life.
Here are some solutions to to the confusion in the mind:
The number one complaint from those that I work with, is they feel they have sacrificed their lives for tho around them. They have immense regrets that they were so busy pleasing others, that they neglected pleasing themselves. By pleasing yourself first, and filling up your own cup with self-love and joy, that overflowing cup of goodness can only spill over onto everyone that comes into contact with you. Fill your own cup up with clarity, excitement, and your inner guidance to feel good. Through your daily decision to have loving thoughts, feelings, and actions towards yourself first, life will undoubtedly transform from your personal hell to your personal heaven.
Happy New Year and God Bless You!
